De Lorenzo Aspya conference - 2011
Elizabeth and Alison will be attending the De Lorenzo Aspya conference in Queenstown in September.De Lorenzo Aspya conference - 2010
Elizabeth, Alison and Rachel earnt their way to the De Lorenzo Aspya conference this year, which was held at the Hyatt, Coolum, Sunhine coast The first speaker was Julia Bickerstaff, author of Business Bakery. Her business background underpinned an outstanding presentation, speaking on branding and market placement, simple and do-able formulas to take the OMG out of business projections etc.Next came David Staughton. Otherwise known as Big Dave, he is larger than life and his enthusiasm is infectious. He spoke of the motivators for the different generations. Yes we all listened intently on how to understand the newest additions to our workforce and clientelle, "Gen Y". I will be studying his manual in my spare time.
Then Terry Hawkins. She is characterised by her energy, focus and motivational approach to speaking and specialises in all areas of people performance, including communication, team building, leadership, sales skills, personal styles, conflict resolution, time effectiveness & personal development. We saw Terry last year and she hasn't lost any of her wow factor.
Emanuel Perdis from Napoleon Make Up spoke of his company's Rags to Runway ride to $90million turnover in just 15 years. He has spent the last 15 years more fruitfully than myself, but we are proud of what we are doing at MEHS.
Salon Melbourne
Elizabeth attended Salon Melbourne on the third weekend of April 2010. It is Melbourne's Hair Expo, smaller than Sydney's but "good things come in small packages".The stand out for her was a speaker/ presenter by the name of Jaclyn Hughes of Ultimate Training Solutions. She is a vibrant Scottish woman with a passion for customer service and educating the service industry on how to better give "you the customer" what you want, need and deserve.
Elizabeth attends seminars regularly and rarely goes away with so many new positive thoughts to action.
De Lorenzo Aspya conference - 2009
Alison and Elizabeth attended the De Lorenzo Aspya conference again in March 2009. Held at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, we flew up after work on Saturday for a 9.15am start on Sunday morning. The first speaker was Martin Grunstein, who is Australia’s most in-demand speaker on Outstanding Customer Service. Martin studied Psychology and Marketing at the University of N.S.W. He spent four years in sales and marketing with Colgate-Palmolive before setting up Success Communications.
Next came Amanda Stevens. Amanda delivered an energetic session on SheMarketing™. During her highly interactive presentation, Amanda drew on recent, industry-specific examples and case studies explaining how to better provide to our female consumers what they need and want.
Last and definitely not least was Terry Hawkins. Terry is characterised by her energy, focus and motivational approach to speaking. She specialises in all areas of people performance including communication, team building, leadership, sales skills, personal styles, conflict resolution, time effectiveness & personal development.
